- Tell us about yourself. What have you done since graduation and where have been?
- I married Bill Ort in 1965 we lived in Japan, the Philippines and Iran. We have two grown daughters: Liz is an RN in the NICU at Cooks Childrens Hospital and Jenny is a "stay at home mom" and we have three granddaughters. After divorcing in 1975 and graduated from Texas Wesleyan with a BS in Math Ed I taught math for three years then went to work for The Equitable as an Actuary next went to work for Eddy Chiles at The Western Company as a Systems Analyst. (These companies trained me in forecasting, macro-economics and programming.) Went back to teaching math for 14 years (easier raising children as a teacher). After receiving a MS from UNT worked for two years as a CS instructor at TCC and at AT&T as a "Geek" programmer, Web developer, DBA you names it! I'm still working for AT&T as an Area Manager/Team Lead over several U-verse Servers.
Extra-curricular activities include weight training twice a week and aerobics 5 day, travel with friends and family and participate in an Historical Novel Book Club with teachers I worked with at Stripling Middle School.I studied oil painting in college, but did not have time to pursue it until recently. I'm going to start Plein Air painting this fall in the Ozarks with my cousin Carole Abla who is a professional.
Even though I have not been lucky in marriage I have been lucky in love as I have been dating the same wonderful man for 18 years (he's "geeky" too.)

Missing Colleagues

Preparing for my most significant reunion with friends known from my earliest days brings joy to my heart. Knowing there are old friends and colleagues I'll never see again or never know what happened to lies sadly next to the revelry.

You can edit your profile or change your password by:
1) Clicking the "My Page" Tab at the top
2) Then click settings on the right

After logging onto ahhs63.ning.com if you see the
Add A Photo Icon click this Icon then start with #2
1) Click the My Page Tab, to the left above your name is a photo area
2) Hover over the photo area until the Add Photo or
Change Your Photo Icon appears then click the link
3) Click the "Choose File" button
