- Tell us about yourself. What have you done since graduation and where have been?
- Hi Everyone,
Following AHHS graduation, I studied at TCU, earning my BS degree in Nursing & Science and became a licensed RN (after the Texas State Boards).The Shriner's Burn Institute drew me to Galveston, where I became a Nurse Burn Specialist. While working there for four years, I became a nurse research assistant with an anesthesiologist and later, the operating room supervisor.
I met my husband, John C. Kinnear in 1970, we were married in 1972, and we moved to Santa Barbara, CA in 1973. We have a wonderful daughter, Katie, who is working in London(Social Partners, part of Grey Advertising). She says she is returning to good old USA next year. She misses home and we miss her.
After working in the nursing profession for over 13 years, I retired. My interests are family, home, friends, travel, gardening, cycling, snow skiing, hiking and being involved in the community through Board positions in some wonderful non-profits.
Something not many people know abut me, A few years ago, I bungy dived off the Kawarau Bridge (first bridge where the sport was started) near Queensland, NZ.
Thank you to those who have sent me notes. I am enjoying the pictures as well. Bobbie
