- Tell us about yourself. What have you done since graduation and where have been?
- Retirement is great. I enjoy taking courses at the nearby TCCNE, serve on the Sr. Advisory board there, and this fall 2012 taught Water Exercise for Seniors and a Twitter class (I don't tweet, just follow news and #s). Play party bridge ~2x week; take spinning, yoga and water exercise classes 2x a week to keep the aches at bay and the ##s off. Follow the Rangers & Cowboys when they are doing well. Presently watching, via Netflix, previous season of The Good Wife; Harry is doing the same with Cheers. Thankfully, we have separate TV areas(TMI?). Still read mysteries and adventure plots plus the occasional non-fiction, e.g., travel, nature or techie stuff. (I think an afternoon browsing the local library is almost as good as a Braum's ice cream cone). Volunteer monthly at River Legacy Park (Arlington) leading nature hikes. I get along great with children; we just never took the time & the important responsibility to have any. Love being around my six nieces and nephews, though. Manage a few bird-watching outings a year. We currently have a tabby kitten named Tipper who makes us feel our age because she has more energy than ten Energizer bunnies.

Employed by Alcon Labs, 1970-2002, 32 yrs, Fort Worth, TX. Married Harry Siegel 1972 grad. UT Austin 1966, Aerospace Engineering; PhD Mechanical Engineering, 1979. Harry was employed by Mostek > SGS Thomson >> >STMicroelectronics (1979-2008).

Hi< Martha long time since I saw you.. I live in Dandridge,Tennessee with my husband.. I moved because Texas summers did me in... Dandridge is the 2nd oldest town in Tennesse named for Martha Dandridge, George Washington"s wife.. it is in the foothills of the gorgeous Smokies on beautiful Douglas lake I have one daughter,Courtney Chowning Atkinson( my ex husbands"s family were great friends with both the Connors and the Alexander"s) I remember when they founded Alcon) I also have one grandson, Avery Chowning Atkinson.. Courtney is a 24 year flight attendant with Delta and lives in Dallas.. Avery is 13 and in the 7th grade at St.Monica"s in Dallas.. I became a writer.. I just finished a 34 year labor titled A Twisted Texas Tale.. You said in your profile you enjoy mysteries.. This would fit right into that genre.. Happy to send you a copy if you are interested.. We have 4 rabbits and two dogs.. I am in the process of acquiring a Peruvian Paseo colt..Very much enjoy my animals.. Let me hear from you

I hope to see you at the reunion but I am sure you will have to look for my name tag to find me.
If you are interested you can read what I have been doing but I am and have been in Dallas most of time since college. I don't hear from many old friends but stay up with Mike and Lynn Fisher some but not enough..
