Good Morning, Jimmy, Ask your wife if she maybe remembers these paschal folk.. The infamous Legion Of doom folks.. My daughter is in a relationship with one of them, Jim Turner.. How about Bob Belcher, Dickie Chowning (my ex now known as Richard)Mickie Cooles, Sylvia Cooles, Louis Grantges,Gilmore Lauderdale, Or the very beautiful Anita Alexander(daughter of Bob Alexander, one of the founders of Alcon) She dated Stormy Taylor.. They were too beautiful to believe.. How about Judy Walker or Sarah Walker<daughters of Granville Walker.Pastor of University Christian Church)
Speak for yourself.. all my parts work just fine... Dandridge is the 2nd oldest town in Tennessee named for Martha Dandridge, George Washington"s wife.. It is approximately 25 miles east of Knoxville and no it is not on any map you may have access to.. It is on Beautiful Douglas Lake, however Tennessee is so full of lakes, waterfalls, etc it no biggie..Have you ever visited Tennessee? I am not referring to Nashville known as middle Tennessee.. Eastern Tennessee where I live not only has the Smokies, but is unbelievably prettycountry.. I recently finished a book I have worked on for 30+ years called A Twisted Texas Tale.. Would you like a copy? Who did you marry? My second husband,Glen Fields and I have been married since 1979.. He is from Oklahoma.. I have one daughter,Courtney Chowning Atkinson who is a 24 year flight attendant with Delta and lives in Dallas, but is based in New York.. I have one grandson,13, Avery Chowning Atkinson.. Let me hear some more about you
Hi, james, Last time we spoke it was Jimmy.. Where on earth is Goliad,Texas and what does a person do there? I escaped Texas 2 years ago and reside in the Smokies.. Love to hear from you
Well said, "friend." You have always had a special way with words. I will never forget your famous quote when we escaped from a smoky night club in Houston so many, many years ago -- "Oh air, oh air. The more I breathe, the more I appreciate."
Yes, we will see you at that other school's event in June. Looking forward to it.
Hi Jim- I am so glad you are coming to the Reunion. It should be a lot of fun seeing everyone again. Yes, I remember breaking a window at your house with a bar bell. I guess my eyes were bigger than my muscles! See you next fall. -- Lucy
Hi Jim. I have been at Canyon Lake since 2000...retired early from Pennzoil that year. I now sell a few homes each year at Canyon Lake ...Real Estate Broker with Keller Williiams.... helps pay the bills. My two grandsons keep me busy... one at Canyon lake and the other in Midland ( two months old). Hope to make the reunion... but must start my crash diet now or cannot showup...
Hey Jimmy, I'd forgotten about the Childress comment but I remember the first time you had broccoli at one of the pregame meals and you called it "barkley" I laugh about that every time I eat it. Am looking foward to the reunion, too. Butch
Hi Jim- so pleased to hear back from you! You must be getting better with computer as mine didn't melt!! Did you retire to Goliad or been there for a long time? You're so right- Martha did a great job to put this together and it has been so much fun to reconnect with people who I spent my youth with but have lost contact with for the better part of 50 years. OMG- I cannot believe it could have been that long. I sure hope you and your wife are planning on coming to the reunion- it will be great seeing everyone. Take care and a safe and happy new year! Jane
I am glad to see you found this site. I did a few months ago and it is kind of fun to see what some people have been doing for the last 50 years. Boy is that hard to say.
It was good to catch up with you even if at Praters funeral. I was sure glad you to Charlie because we lost him shortly afterward.
Hope you have a great 2013 and hope to see you at the reunion.
