Bill, there was a older crippled gentlemen who lived in back of the old Lena Pope Home on Camp Bowie Blvd whose basement and half his garage was loaded with hand or foot powered machinery.  He used to sharpen claws on the collared oil drill bits for oil rigs.  This was back in '60 and '61 and he was averaging $15 per hour for about 30 hours a week.  I worked for him a couple of hours a week when he was tired.  It wasn't until 1993 when I opened up a flag factory with a local company that I put any of that to use.  30 years later!
