- Tell us about yourself. What have you done since graduation and where have been?
- On the way to UCLA I took a closer exit and ended up at OU. Four years later a newly minted second lieutenant started a five year (including two years in Vietnam) tour in the USAF. Left the Air Force and went to Washington, DC where I a) married and b) went to work for a Congressman. Six years and a divorce later I left the Congress, but not Washington. I stayed in DC for a dozen years in association work, including the presidency of one (never again!). Remarried (got it right this time), had a son, left DC and moved to Idaho. Tried to give up politics but, after five years, failed. Held a number of political positions, and was appointed a member of Idaho’s 2011 Redistricting Commission. In moments of sanity I hike, ski, snowshoe and fish, as well as read and VERY occasionally write.
Looking forward to seeing my more successful classmates after 50 years!

Sent you a regular e-mail but may have gone in spam. Want to let you know that I had so much fun riding to and from the reunion events with Marti, Laura and you. Thanks for driving Saturday. your pictures of your travels to Turkey were fantastic. Hope you made it back to Idaho ok.

There is probably a game that weekend, but AHHS is no longer allowed to play Paschal for homecoming. Since a few years after we graduated they used to attack each others Bon Fires with firecrackers from private airplanes. (As I understand it)
Yes, my boys had a great time. They love real beer, not the local 3-2 stuff, for one thing. And just enjoy the people.
At first I thought, how did he know I was writing a book. I forget that everything one writes on one's page is an open book, so to speak. This silly book is a long time coming. But, sure, I'll save a first edition (haha) copy for you.
Duh. All I had to do is check. Boise! My sons went to a Beerfest in your neck of the woods this past Saturday. It seems to have become an annual event.
