Another of our basketball district champs of '63 is gone.  Big Jim Ankele passed away on
Thursday Nov. 14th.  We'll miss you Ank.  Butch Clark

Saw this again and hard to believe it has been almost 10 years since ANKELE died. I know for sure he was a great guy and liked bt everybody. I also know for sure we would not have won the district in1963 without him. Great team mate!!!!!

I am so sorry to read this.  I had known Jim since elementary days at South Hi-Mount.  His grandmother had a "doll hospital" and used to fix my dolls as well as make the most beautiful doll clothes.  Jim and I reminisced about this at the reunion.
