Methodical Musings onn the Nature of the Beast

Ladies and Gentlemen, This material is not gay and lighthearted;however it is most certainly true.. The names dates and times have been altered to protect the guilty Long ago in the 50"s in Garrison Gulch,Maine is the setting for our tale(Not FICTION)Our narrator and observer personally of these events is Gay Johnson who currently resides in Ecuador.. Our heroine(victim) Tapioca McMinnis is in parts unknown.. The villain of this tale,Hank Cowman is unfortunately fairly recently deceased...Our narrator,Gay and Tapioca were friends.. At the end of the eighth grade at Kipling middle school Gay and Tapioca were selected to assist Hank who was a coach and teacher with closing up the book room.. They were the only three individuals at the school.. Hank was married and had several children.. a real pillar of Garrison Gulch.. Gay was very naïve and literal.. She actually believed some type of work with books was going to take place...Wrong!!!!! She noticed the other two people were behaving oddly.. So never mind...This was the summer Gay made an interesting summer job choice.. She was the TOWEL GIRL at the local Country Club swimming pool..Garrison Gulch has a very limited swimming season.. Her family belonged to this country club.. She was really surprised when she learned the pool manager that year was none other than Hank Cowman.. He teased her a lot.. One day he suggested she call Tapioca and invite her to the pool since Tapioca"s parents were not members.. So Gay complied and Tapioca comes to the pool.. Hank and Tapioca went for a drive in Hank"s Austin Healy a two seater.. So this became something of a trend that summer of 1959 in Garrison Gulch..Towards the end of this idyllic time in the life of a young person, one time Hank came back from a drive with Tapioca and Gay noticed something odd.. He had lipstick on his khaki slacks.. Gay mentioned this to him and he diverted her be saying,"You look just like Veronica Lake".. Then one evening as the pool was closing at 7:00 P.M. It gets dark early in Maine,Hank told Gay to call her mom and tell her he was bringing her home.. Well, in the olden days of the 50"s when a responsible adult told you to do something, unlike today, you simply, did it.. So I called my mother Suddenly Tapioca shows up and also another man Gay has never seen.. The four of them get in this man"s car and drive to a BAR( these girls are 14) and sit while the men drink.. Then I was taken home.. The really bizarre part of this was Gay"s mother did not seem all that surprised or worried about this jaunt.. Garrison Gulch had some really odd pockets of people.. So what bothers our narrator a bit is Hank went on to become a noted Philanthropist, Educator, Respected member of his church and community,Garrison Gulch.. His obituary was filled with his many achievements.. However: he stayed in the field of education always where he could influence YOUNG  people

So, yeah, you have my interest, too. Does this flesh out to become a murder mystery? Or a slice of life with a bit of icky old man's interest in young girls?
