A Lovely Light Verse(to remove the bad taste in our mouth from last one)

April is the month..immortalized by Poets and Musicians.. Magician"s fool us with their sleight of hand.. Wizards lead Nature"s Marching Band...The sun warmed Earth gives birth to a slew of New Life.. Is their still Strife among People? Do they still Worship at the Steeple?  Perhaps.... April is also the name of a Lovely Lass with Grace and Class.. Who became my Friend Until the End.. Or Whenever and Forever....

My Teeth/My Time

"Time and the tide wait for no man".. Time wasted.. Time Passages.. A stitch in time.. A babe is born toothless.. Blissful.. Innocent..Ruthless Time sets her clock and marches on.. The babe has her first tooth erupt.. Only a little smidge of pain(remember the idiotic statement no pain, no gain?) She smiles, she coos, she drools, Yet Time She still Rules..The babe becomes a time traveler.. Is she genetically blessed and endowed with pearly whites that actually Glow in the night? Nay, nay good…

Cookware as a Cult or the Occult

When witches brew their potions.. in their big black pots.. Do they,by chance use the Ever Popular Lodge iron cookware?.. Today"s trendy theme is organic and back to the basics(as long as we are not inconvenienced).. Nothing truly tasty is ever brewed/cooked except in an iron vessel.. If you  are a member of the Great Unwashed and perchance put an iron skillet in the dishwasher as I once did... You have committed the Unforgivable Sin.. The vessel is Ravaged.. Worse it is corroded with…

The Ceramic Rose Grows

Eons past.. A ceramic bell from Franklin Mint reposed with a rose on the top in my Elve"s workshop....Who knew, but the bell grew.. Ceramic tendrils from the rose in repose began trailing down and around and around...But there was no sound.. not a creature was stirring.. not even a cat would dare purr..Dawn broke over the horizon and the elves began to stir.. The cat began to purr.. The elves saw the sight…

Not laundry but Music and dancing

Today I was going to discuss my love of laundry.. I truly do love laundry, but Springtime won this Race.. laundry lost first place.. Do we remember Seals and Croft, Summer Breezes? Blowing through the jasmine in my mind.. One time I thought I knew who my friends were.. But Evil Stepped Down and the summer breezes blew Cold and all the Good Friends grew Old...But now in the late spring of my 68th year.. Nothing is left to Fear.No more tears, regrets or remorse.. I am sitting on the big white…

Does Anyone Actually Cook Anymore?

Cooking full on twice a day...That's just the way we Roll on the Ole home front..By full on, I mean like in the olden days when butter and cream reigned Supreme(Does anyone remember Jane Justin"s cookbook?)Cream of Mushroom, nothing low fat.. Glen does not do that!!!!! Sunday breakfast today was simple and quick.. A registered dietician would get really really Sick..A bacon, onion, tomato sandwich did suffice for my sweet hubby.. God on A Drizzly Day When he Couldn"t Wash His Vehicles

Weaving ribbons of inevitability... Then tying bows on the toes of Those.. who buy the Life of the Lie.. who Never Try to comprehend their fellow Men.. Or show Compassion to the Ones not in fashion.... And Who Practice the Black Art of Accepting Convential Wisdom and Disinformation ... Failing to follow their nose instead of their toes.. Losing the scent for a mere cent of the Maladorous Miasma of Mendacity..   Kay Fields... June 2,2013
