I just made my favorite summer soup when I want to feel full of VIRTUE.. Also it is very good..You take 1 Tbs of olive oil and a little vegetable oil or butter in a medium saucepan.. Add I/2 cup of chopped sweet onions and cook until tender 3-4 minutes.. add 28 ounces of chicken broth and 1 lb of trimmed fresh asparagus cut in 1 inch pieces.. I Just learned Lionel Shriver has a new book out called (I think) My Big Brother.. Her book We Need to Talk About Kevin was genius.. The movie version paled considerably..
